I purchased the red beads about 25 years ago from a vendor who specialized in vintage beads; they were made in Japan in the early 1900's using a technique called "lampworking." Encircling these unique beads are sterling silver bead caps, Miyuki Delica seed beads, and a vibrant turquoise colored European Glass bead with sterling silver lever back hooks so they stay in your ears.
These pretties are 3 1/4" long, 1 1/2" wide and a whole lot of fun!
